Glenda Gale Mitchell, daughter of the late Talmedge Cobb and Opal Graham Cobb, was born on Friday, August 21, 1936, in Kennett and departed this life on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at her residence in Holcomb, MO at the age of 87 years 9 months 7 days. Glenda had worked as a home health care worker for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She never turned anyone away who needed a meal or a place to sleep. Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Ray Wilder of the home in Holcomb; son, David Mitchell & his wife, Audrey of Kennett; two daughters, Brenda Propst of Dexter & Annette Lewis of Paragould; grandchildren, Lacey Mitchell, Brandi & Stacey Propst, Nicole Elsworth, Shiloh & Dennis McIntyre, Aleshia Stuard, Caitlin & Sawyer Lewis, Hannah & Cody Synder, Bailee Hall, Trever Synder, Erica Lewis, Brandon Stuard, Hunter Ward, Payton & Landyn Ruiz; one brother, Paul Cobb & his wife, Joyce of Kennett, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Charles Mitchell, one great-grandson, Tyson Stuard and one great-granddaughter, Amiya Ruiz. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Patsy Weaver officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Kennett. Pallbearers will be Cody Synder, Hunter Ward, Danny Buckmaster, Yonley Padgett, Troy Campbell & Cody Troutt. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
