George Algernon Robinson, son of the late Algernon Robinson and Daphne McCaskey Robinson, was born on Thursday, May 27, 1943 in Manhattan, NY and departed this life on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 20 days. George Algernon Robinson was a retired Human Resource manager for the United Methodist Church. In February of 1972, he was united in marriage to Jean Freedman. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2021. Survivors include sons, Jason Robinson & his wife, Mandy of Kennett, George "Robbie" Robinson & his wife, Kim of Lancaster, PA, George Matthew Robinson of New York, NY; daughter, Jennifer Robinson of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Doug Davis of Kennett, Kyle Morfa of New York, NY, Andrew, Brandon, Anastacia & Daphne Lombard, all of Myrtle Beach, SC, Shaun & Keith Robinson, both of Lancaster, PA; great-granddaughter, Renesmae Gemania Morfa, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jean Freedman Robinson. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of cremation arrangements.
