Gene Thomas Edwards, Jr.

Gene Thomas Edwards, Jr., son of the late Gene Thomas Edwards, Sr. and Rosalee Maness Edwards, was born on Sunday, March 18, 1962, in Kennett and departed this life on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at his residence in Kennett at the age of 62 years 5 months 25 days. Gene had worked as a produce manager for Walmart and Harps and was an army veteran. Survivors include brother, Eddie Edwards of Jonesboro, AR; sister, Teressa Lufcy of Kennett; two half-sisters, Carrie Edwards of Kennett, Bethany Barkley of Tennessee; nieces, Ashley Lufcy & Jeana Taylor, both of Kennett, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gary Lee Fox and a sister, Donna Wake. Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Jim Davis officiating. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
