Gary David Maxwell, son of the late Wesley (Bud) Maxwell and Ruth Bull Maxwell, was born on Thursday, October 4, 1951 in Campbell, MO and departed this life on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 24 days. He was a retired pharmacist with Wal-Mart Pharmacy in Kennett and a member of the Third Street Baptist Church in Kennett. On May 27, 1983 in Campbell, MO, he was united in marriage to Carol Fleeman. She survives of the home in Kennett. Other survivors include a son, Tim Higgins & his wife, Angie of Kennett; a daughter, Marcie Daniels & her husband, Randy of Jonesboro, AR; 5 grandchildren, Corey, Blake, Trevor, Tyler, & Nicholas; 3 great-grandchildren, Jersee, Livvy, & Silas; sister, Vicki Brown of Springfield, MO; other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with Reverend Bud Evans officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Powell Funeral Chapel, Kennett. The Maxwell family requests that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
