View Funeral Webcast Frank Childress, son of the late Willie Charles Childress, Sr. and Annie Sue Jones Childress, was born on Sunday, May 13, 1951 and departed this life on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at NHC in Kennett at the age of 70 years and 2 days. Survivors include his long-time companion, Bertha Charleston of Hayti; four brothers, Ed Childress & his wife, Eddie of Dyersburg, TN, Willie Charles Childress, Jr. of Kennett, Louis Childress & his wife, Della of Kennett, James Childress of Kennett; four sisters, Gloria Childress of Kennett, Laura Rose of Bragg City, Helen Childress of Kennett, Ester Childress of Kennett; step-sister, Alma Jean Jones of Marston, MO; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bobby Joe Childress and Ellis Childress and two sisters, Sarah Jane Mackfield and Alma Jean Jones. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin there at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Willoughby Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
