Ernest Roy Pflueger

Ernest Roy Pflueger, son of the late John Franklin Pflueger and Dorothy Ollie Duckworth Pflueger, was born on Tuesday, March 7, 1939, in Lilbourn, MO and departed this life on Monday, December 30, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 85 years 9 months 23 days. On December 22, 1956, in Kennett he was united in marriage to Violet Pearl Folkes. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2002. Survivors include his daughter, Pennie Pflueger of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dathel Manning of Malden, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, John Carlos Pflueger and five sisters, Louise Owens, Hazel Robinson, Ida Haney, Christine Brandenburg, and Audrey Cato. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the charity of donor's choice. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
