View Funeral Webcast Elda Davis, daughter of the late Albert and Madeline Smith Nixon, was born on Monday, May 18, 1953, in Kennett and departed this life on Friday, May 26, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 70 years and 8 days. Survivors include her husband, Roger Davis of the home in Cardwell; sons, Randoll Nixon & wife, Renata of Senath, Marc Sherrell & wife, Deanie of Des Arc, AR, Kevin Davis of Kennett, Jason Davis & wife, Kathie of Kennett, Ricky Sherrell of Vienna, MO; daughters, Angel Davis of Memphis, Jamie Davis of Senath, Shea Edgin & husband, John of Kennett; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother: Ricky Nixon & wife, Brenda of Advance, MO; sisters, Joyce Stanley & husband, Chris of Cardwell, Kathy Rasberry of Kennett, Debbie Knight & husband, Greg of Dexter, Billie Cox & husband, Charles of Cardwell, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Eric Sherrell, a brother, Wayne Nixon and a sister, Linda Nixon. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Doug Clinton officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until time of service. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Pallbearers will be Andrew Nixon, Ricky Sherrell, Kevin Davis, Jason Davis, Jonathon Edging, Gary French and Leonard Nixon. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
