Easter Mae Taylor, daughter of the late JW Wheeler and Ruthie Taylor, was born on Sunday, April 13, 1952, in Kennett and departed this life on Monday July 24, 2023, at St Francis Medical Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 12 days. Survivors include a son, Scotty Taylor, four grandchildren, Shamika Taylor, Raymone Taylor, Shamya Taylor, Shamari Taylor, four great grandchildren, Raleigh Taylor, Alyrica Taylor, Kei'Moni Overton, Mark Overton III, eight sisters, Bessie Brooks, Glenda Merritt, Roberta Jones, Rosa Jefferson, Carla Mullins, Patsey McGowan, Bobbie White, Lisa Snowden, brothers, JC Taylor, Benjamin White, Tommy White, James White, Glen White, a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents JW Wheeler and Ruthie Taylor, father figure JC White, three brothers, Larry White, Ronald Wheeler, Randall Wheeler, and grandson Scotty Slay Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin there at 1:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
