Dorothy Sissom Bost

Dorothy Sissom Bost, daughter of the late Curtis Sissom and Athalee Terry Sissom, was born on Tuesday, December 13, 1932 in Rector, AR and departed this life on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at NHC of Kennett at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 9 days. She was united in marriage to Donald Ray Bost on October 2, 1954. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2002. She was a retired Social Worker with the Missouri Family Service Division, a member of the Bakerville Church of Christ, and a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Survivors include sons, Donald Ray Bost and his wife, Shannon of Alexander City, AL, Steve Bost and his wife, Angie of Poplar Bluff, MO; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Lisa Bost Underwood and 4 brothers. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Visitation will be held on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
