Donnell Duckworth was born on November 11, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leonard Anderson and Betty Duckworth. Donnell, 51, entered into eternal presence of the Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Donnell attended Senath-Hornersville Elementary School and later Kennett High School. Throughout his life, he called several places home, including Chicago, Illinois; Kennett, Missouri; Reno, Nevada; and Las Vegas, Nevada.
As a young man, Donnell developed a passion for golf and music. He especially enjoyed Rap and R&B, and one of his favorite songs was “Picture Me Rollin’” by 2Pac. He also treasured spending time with family and friends, sharing laughter, stories, and creating lasting memories. Whether playing dominoes or a competitive game of spades, Donnell enjoyed every opportunity to be surrounded by those he loved.
Donnell was known for being straightforward and speaking his mind. He stood firmly on what he believed was right and never hesitated to share his convictions. He also had a deep interest in politics and made it a point to stay informed about current events and what was happening in the world.
Above all, Donnell’s greatest joy was his family. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart and brought him immense pride and happiness.
Donnell leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Betty Duckworth of Kennett, Missouri; sons, Desha Duckworth and Dmari Duckworth of Niagara Fall, New York; one daughter, Tionna Duckworth of Sacramento, California; brothers, Derrick (Sharhonda) Duckworth of Las Vegas, Nevada; Javis Anderson of Columbia, Ohio; Marcus Anderson of Kennett, Missouri. Four grandchildren; Dahlia, Ezekiel, Sariah, and Desha Jr. He also leaves behind a special friend Tonique Cook, of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly.
He is preceded in death by his father; Leonard Anderson
