Donald L. Weaver, son of the late Shields Weaver and Mamie Jackson Weaver, was born on Monday, February 8, 1932 in Pemiscot County, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at his residence in Kennett at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 10 days. On October 7, 1950, in Osceola, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Sue Hicks. She preceded him in death. On April 25, 1998, he married Linda Seabaugh. Donald L. Weaver had been the owner/operator of Weaver's Service Station & Quick Shop in Rives for over 33 years. Survivors include his wife, Linda Weaver of Gobler; daughters, Debbie Cleveland of Kennett, Donna York of Osceola, AR; son, Steven Weaver & his wife, Nancy of Sedalia, MO; grandchildren, Jonathan York of Osceola, AR, Allison Jones & her husband, Thomas of Pottsville, AR, Rick Jones & his wife, Christy of Kennett, Greg Jones & his wife, Cheryl of Lakeland, FL, Chris Cleveland of Las Crusis, NM, Joshua Weaver & his wife, Leslie of Spring, TX, Sarah Sawyer & her husband, Philip of Sedalia, MO; 18 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren; also survived by 3 stepsons, David & Carol Seabaugh of Paragould, AR, Allan & Kathy Seabaugh of Salem, MO, Bart & Katrina Seabaugh of Gobler, MO; 9 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sue Hicks Weaver; son-in-laws, John York & Donald Cleveland. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Charles James and Reverend Jared Hancock officiating. Visitation will begin there at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Jones, Devin Jones, David Homra, Jonathan York, Thomas Jones, & Larry Conley. Honorary pallbearers will be John Remington Jones, Miriam Jones, Andrew Conley & JoBeth Patterson. The Weaver family politely requests that everyone wear a mask for the funeral services and practice social distancing. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett in charge of arrangements.
