Derrick James Harrell, son of Margaret Alexander Harrell and the late Robert Harrell, Sr., was born on Wednesday, July 22, 1964, in Kennett, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 9 days. Survivors include son, Nathan Harrell of Kennett; mother, Margaret Harrell of Kennett; brothers, Robert Harrell, Jr. & wife, Juanita of Tyler, TX, Donnie Harrell of Las Vegas, NV, Maurice Harrell of Detroit, MI, Jaime Harrell of Kennett; sisters, Debra Harrell of Tyler, Texas, Connie Harrell & husband, Anthony Williams of Poplar Bluff, MO, Vivian Harrell and Amber Harrell, both of Kennett; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Harrell, Sr. and two sisters, Jacqueline Farmer and Darnice Kay Palmer. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with Bishop Willie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the services. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
