Deborah Fay Lamar

Deborah Fay Lamar, daughter of the late William E. "Buck" Miller and Berniece Vantrease Miller, was born on Saturday, December 6, 1952, in Malden and departed this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau at the age of 72 years 2 months 6 days. Deborah Fay Lamar was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of the Malden Church of Christ. On April 14, 1972, she was united in marriage to Randal Steven Lamar. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2012. Survivors include three sons, Jason Lamar & his wife, Deanna of Portageville, Scott Lamar & his wife, Samantha of Gideon, Lance Lamar of Portageville; sister, Jackie Johnson & her husband, Marc of Oakland City, IN, seven grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Randy, and two brothers, Donald Miller & Terry Vantrease. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Malden Church of Christ with Mr. James Powell officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.
