David Lee Mitchell, son of the late Willie Del Mitchell and Joann Eakins Brown, was born on Saturday, July 30, 1966, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at his residence at the age of 59 years 7 months 18 days.
David was devoted to his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was known as an individual who could fix anything. He served as Director of Maintenance for the Kennett Housing Authority, had worked at NHC of Kennett and had his own repair business known as Moonlite Handyman. In addition to his work, he enjoyed playing the drums.
On September 27, 1988, in Kennett, Missouri he was united in marriage to Gretta Snider. She survivors of their home in Kennett.
Other survivors include three sons, David Allen & wife, Tabitha of Decatur, IL, Jospeh Snider of Dexter, Missouri, Johnathon Snider of Branson, Missouri; two daughters, Jennifer Snider & Angela Snider, both of Kennett, Missouri; brother, Steven Mitchell of Easton, Maryland; five grandchildren, Taylor Snider, Julia Snider, James Lemons, Kadence Allen, MaKinley Allen; great-grandson, Mylin Welton (Little Swamy), other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Del Mitchell, his mother, Joann Eakins Brown, his sister, Kathy Jo Faught and a grandson, David Tyler Mitchell.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell, David Allen, James Lemons, Jr., Michael Snider and Bobby Martin.
