Daniel Dean "Boaty" Boatwright, son of the late Gerald Boatwright and Mary Virginia Moody Boatwright, was born on Wednesday, November 19, 1952, in Kennett and departed this life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at his residence at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 6 days. Survivors include brothers, Mickey Boatwright of Sikeston, Randy Edwards of Kennett, Keith Blades of Kennett, Luther Abrams of Greenburg, IN; grandparents, Betty Gattis of Kennett, Gary Moody of Paragould, Jimmy Moody of Kennett, Shelby Thurman of Kennett, other relatives and many friends. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Visitation will begin Saturday, October 29, 2022, 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
