Dan Carlisle gained his angel wings on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett. He was born on Tuesday, July 22, 1941, to William Carlisle and Mary Vandergriff Carlisle in Mayfield, KY. On December 22, 1963, he was united in marriage to Judy Potts in Mayfield, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Carlisle and Mary Vandergriff Carlisle and a daughter, Sammie Ann Carlisle. He was a member and deacon of the First General Baptist Church in Kennett since 1978. He was a shop teacher at the Kennett High School for 28 years. He loved tinkering with Car/truck engines and mowing. He was always ready to help other in need. Dan is survived by his wife, Judy; his daughter, Staci (Brian) Ausbon of Columbia, MO and his sister, Judy (JC) Hankins of Murfreesboro, TN, other relatives and many friends. Family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the First General Baptist Church, 805 Pruitt St., Kennett, MO 63857. No services will be held. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
