View Funeral Webcast Cleven Broyle, age 72, entered into the eternal presence of the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at NEA Baptist Hospital surrounded by his family. Cleven was born on March 29,1952 to the late Henry Broyle and Beatrice Duckworth-Walker in Hughes, Arkansas. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lamar Walker, Sr., and grandparents Steve and Willie Mae Duckworth ,Albirdia Stigler, Ethel Walker and AJ Walker. Cleven was a very kind, gentle, and humble man. But for those who loved him, he was known as a great dad, son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time fishing or watching one of his favorite tv shows such as westerns, cartoons, Divorce Court, or sporting events. He loved to listen to one of his favorite singers, Shirley Caesar, and enjoyed chatting about everyday life events whether it was politics, sports, or life in general. He was a man of few words who made an incredible impact on the lives around him. A graduate of Senath-Hornersville in 1970, Cleven worked as a stenciller and spray painter for Morrison Railway until the company closed it’s doors for business. He later worked for T.W.R. in Granite City, IL and Bojack company in Hermondale, MO. Memories and special times shared with Cleven will forever be cherished in the hearts of his beloved family: mother, Beatrice Waker of St. Louis, MO; son, Rodney Nelson (Danielle) of Kennett, MO; nine brothers: AJ Walker, Lamar Walker, Jr., of Kennett, MO, Melvin Walker of Kansas City, MO, Franklin (Lavanda) Barber, Anthony Lemons, Adrian Lemons of St. Louis, MO, Cedric Barber of Boonville, MO, Maurice (Derian) Walker of Joliet, IL, and Mario (Jrace) Walker of Colorado, Springs; twelve sisters: Ethel (Wilbert) Wright of St. Roberts, MO, Bobbie (Derrick) Harvey, Geneva Walker, Lawanda Lemons of St. Louis Mo, Leaella (Ottis) Lemons of Evan, GA, Gloria (Robert) Alford, Elizabeth Pittman of Dumas, AR, Linda Whiteside of Jonesboro, AR, Cynthia Walker of Kennett, MO, Regina Lemons of Kansas City, MO, Paulett Davis of Joliet, IL, and Marie Hasting of Peyton, CO, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until time of service. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
