Carole Mayes

Carole Mayes, daughter of the late Glendale Teeters and Irene Corn Teeters, was born on Sunday, December 18, 1938, in Clarkton and departed this life on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at her residence in Malden at the age of 85 years 8 months. Carole was a homemaker and member of the Malden Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. On June 24, 1955, in Hernando, Mississippi she was united in marriage to Charles "Bud" Mayes. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2018. Survivors include a son, Charles "Chuck" Mayes & wife, Rhonda of Sikeston; two daughters, Donna Dill & husband, Rod of Malden, Leigh Ann Hollis of Malden; brother, Donald Lee Teeters of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Vicki Iverson of Houston, TX; half-sisters, Brenda Havens of Springfield, MO, Barbara Clark of St. Louis, MO, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Mr. James Powell officiating. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
