Carol Carpenter, daughter of the late Leonard Stockton and Opal Nadine Moore Stockton, was born on Wednesday, March 3, 1948, in Dunklin County, Missouri and departed this life on Friday, April 25, 2025, at NHC of Kennett at the age of 77 years 1 month 22 days. Carol was a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren. She had worked with VNA as a home health care worker. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Kennett. She was united in marriage to Marian Elbert Carpenter. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Shannon Rickman & wife, Bridgett of Holcomb & Scott Daugherty of Kennett; daughter, Patty Daugherty of Kennett; brother, Teddy Thurman of Holcomb, six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Third Street Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
