Byron Eugene "Butch" Robertson

Byron Eugene "Butch" Robertson, son of the late Earnest Robertson and Sue Speakes Robertson, was born on Sunday, March 17, 1957, in Kennett, MO and departed this life on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his residence in Gideon at the age of 67 years 11 months 20 days. Butch Robertson, formally of Kennett, was a truck driver and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. On June 11, 2001, he was united in marriage to Karen Sue Rankin. She preceded him in death on November 21, 2006. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Dawn Lobstein of Lubbock, TX & Loretta Lynn Cooley of Holly Springs, MS; stepsons, Shawn Dale Smothers of Potts Camp, MS, Raymond Rankin of Clyde, TX, Shaun Rankin of Risco, MO; stepdaughter, Christi Rankin of Campbell, MO; two sisters, Rita Anderson & Patricia Anderson, both of Kennett; a special friend, Brenda Young; half-brother, Delbert Gray of Maryland, fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife & two brothers. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
