Brooke Flood

Brooke Flood, beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend, left this world far too soon on July 9, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee, just shy of her fourteenth birthday. Born on July 20, 2012, in Kennett, Missouri, Brooke was the daughter of Heather Estes Joiner and the late Jonathan Zachary Flood.

She was a student at Kennett Middle School where her love for sports was boundless; whether on the cheerleading squad or on the volleyball court. She enjoyed music, TikTok, and taking rides on her scooter, but her greatest joy came from being with family and friends. She welcomed everyone with open arms, ensuring no friend or classmate ever felt left behind. Her ability to bring out smiles in every room will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Survivors include her mother, Heather Estes Joiner (Jody Joiner) of Kennett, Missouri; four brothers, Landon Helton of Sikeston, Missouri, Landin Kilbreth of Pascola, Missouri, Jasper Joiner of Kennett, Missouri, Briley Estes of Senath, Missouri; four sisters, Hannah Kilbreth of Pascola, Missouri, Eva Joiner of Kennett, Missouri, Everleigh Flood of Kennett, Missouri, Temper Joiner of Kennett, Missouri; grandmother, Carla Clevenger of Kennett, Missouri; grandparents, Michael & Glenda Estes of Senath, Missouri & Johnny & Terri Joiner of Malden, Missouri; great-grandmother, Dainta Clevenger of Kennett, Missouri, other  relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jonathan Zachary Flood; her grandfather, Bobby Kirby; her great-grandfather, Bill Clevenger, her uncle, Howard Bailey; and her aunt, Dainta Gene Bailey.

A memorial service celebrating Brooke’s life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett, Missouri with Rena Ross officiating.  Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue until time of service.

Though Brooke’s journey in this world has come to a close far earlier than anyone could have foreseen, her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her to live with the same courage, kindness, and joy she brought into every day.
