Brenda Williams, daughter of the late Connie Ray Gowdy and Susie Mae Gray Gowdy, was born on Wednesday, January 31, 1951, in Kennett and departed this life on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at her residence in Kennett at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 6 days. She had been a manager at Catfish Wharf in Kennett and had worked at Emerson Electric. Survivors include son, Eric Williams & his wife, Crystal of Kennett; daughter, Susie Cortez & her husband, Fonso of Kennett; grandchildren, Heidi Millsap, Ashton Williams, Lane Cortez, Jaxon Cortez; long-time friend, Carolyn Batchelor of Kennett; other relatives and many friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin there at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Pallbearers will be Ashton Williams, Lane Cortez, Mike Wilburn, Miguel Nunnery, Tom Wiley, Brad Davis. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jaxon Cortez. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
