Bradley Scott

Bradley Joe Scott, 40, of Dexter, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Bradley grew up in Kennett, Missouri, a place that remained an important part of his story throughout his life.

Those who knew Bradley knew his love for cars. From a young age, working on cars was simply part of who he was. Whether preparing for a demolition derby or spending time in the garage with family and friends, some of Bradley’s best memories and strongest relationships were built around that passion.

One of Bradley’s greatest passions was demolition derby. What began as an interest when he was young became a lasting part of his life. The demolition derby during fair week brought together so many things Bradley loved-cars, competition, family, friends, and the opportunity to spend time with the people who mattered to him.

More than his hobbies or talents, Bradley will be remembered for the relationships he shared with the people in his life.

He grew up surrounded by family and friends in Kennett and formed friendships that lasted for decades. He valued the people closest to him, and many of the friendships formed during his childhood remained an important part of his life as he grew older.

Above all, Bradley was a father.

His children, Landon and Abbie, held an incredibly important place in his life. He loved them deeply, was tremendously proud of them, and the memories they created with their dad will forever be part of the legacy he leaves behind.

Bradley is survived by his children, Landon and Abbie; his mother and stepfather, Patty and William Byrd; his father and stepmother, Deny and Sharon Scott; his sister, Amber Scott; his brother, Chad Scott; along with many extended family members and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.

Bradley’s life ended far too soon, but the impact of a life cannot be measured simply by the number of years it lasted.

It can be found in the children who carry a part of you forward, in the family who will continue telling your stories, in the friendships that survive the passing of time, and in the countless memories that seemed ordinary when they happened but become priceless when someone is gone.

Bradley leaves behind 40 years of those memories.

He was a father, a son, a brother, a family member and a friend.

He was loved.

And he will be deeply missed.
