Bobby Allen Sturgeon, Sr.

Bobby Allen Sturgeon, Sr., son of the late Albert Andrew Sturgeon, Sr. and Vi Lettie Jackson Sturgeon, was born on Saturday, January 7, 1933 in Kennett and departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at NHC of Kennett at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 14 days. He worked as a salesman for Sears for over 25 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett. On July 22, 1953 in Kennett, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Hartley. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Phyllis Hartley Sturgeon; son, Bobby Allen Sturgeon, Jr. of Sikeston; daughter, Judy Puckett of Kennett; grandson, Clay Allen Puckett of Kennett; granddaughter, Anna Catherine Radillo & her husband, Daniel of Jonesboro; brother, Harold Sturgeon & his wife, Barbara of West Memphis, AR; sisters, Vickey Young of Kennett, Peggy Hardin & her husband, Charles of Nixa, MO; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albert Andrew Sturgeon, Jr. and Charles Sturgeon and a sister, Betty Lee Jones. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with Reverend Kevin Carter officiating. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
