Betty Jean Nixon, daughter of the late Alvin Eugene Roberts and Betty Jo Shrum Roberts, was born on Saturday, July 1, 1961, in Flint, Michigan and departed this life on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at her residence in Campbell, MO at the age of 63 years 11 months 6 days. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. On May 2, 1980, in Kennett she was united in marriage to James 'Jimmy" Nixon. He survives of their home in Campbell, Missouri. Other survivors include two daughters, April Nixon & her husband, Tyler Sample of Jackson, MO, Jeannie Holden & her husband, Tyler of Dexter, MO; two brothers, Jimmy Roberts of Arkansas, Al Roberts of Tennessee; three sisters, Linda Vickory of Michigan, Ola Roberts of Michigan, Patricia Smith of Campbell, MO; six grandchildren, Nevaeh Nixon, Easton Sample, Alex Sample, Ashton Holden, Reece Holden, Oliver Holden, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Billy Roberts. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
