Barbara Castell-Godair

Barbara Casteel-Godair, daughter of the late Clarence Casteel and Billie Jo Kelley Casteel, was born on Wednesday, June 9, 1954, in Tipton, Tennessee and departed this life on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Regional One Health Center in Memphis at the age of 71 years 6 months 8 days.

Barbara was devoted to her family as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She had worked at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Survivors include two brothers, Barry Casteel (Bernadette) of Luebbering, Missouri, Michael Casteel (Leah) of Doniphan, Missouri; three sisters, Joann Sanders of Kennett, Missouri, Margaret Jones (James) of Kennett, Missouri, Rena Ruminer (Terry) of Doniphan, Missouri; six grandchildren, Shayna Godair, Evan Johnson, Jaron Godair, Oakland Godair, Heavenly Godair, Miles Dawn, all of Kennett, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Godair, a son, Michael Eugene Godair, a daughter, Shalayne Star Godair, a granddaughter, Mackenzie Godair, two brothers, Clarence Casteel, Jr. & Larry Casteel and a sister, Brenda Sue Casteel.  

Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.
