B. Neil Lewis

Bruce Neil Lewis, 84, of Kennett, Missouri died on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Born on Tuesday, December 22, 1936, in Sikeston, Missouri, he was the son of the late Bruce Lemuel Lewis and Mary Elizabeth Montgomery Lewis. He was raised in Sikeston and was a graduate of the University of Missouri at Rolla and the Infantry Officer School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He is survived by two daughters, Terri Kiplinger of Clearlake Oaks, California and Tracy McGinnis of Jefferson City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Megan McGinnis and Andrew Halferty; and siblings, David Lewis of Plano, Texas, Dale Lewis of O'Fallon, Missouri and Patricia Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma. One daughter, Tricia Halferty, and one grandchild, Annie Halferty, preceded him in death. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
