Antonio Kendrick Wallace

Antonio Kendrick Wallace, affectionately known to family and friends as “Tony” or “Mac T,” passed away on August 27, 2026, in his hometown of Kennett, Missouri at the age of 50 years 9 months 14 days.

Tony was born on November 13, 1975, in Kennett to the late Bertha Mae Wallace and Jethro McKinney. He was born and raised in Kennett, where he accepted Christ at an early age. Throughout his life, Tony migrated back and forth between Kennett and East St. Louis, Illinois, but Kennett was his true home, and he always made his way back to where his story began.

As a youth, Tony was a gifted athlete who played basketball and football for the Kennett Indians. He was an exceptional swimmer and possessed an incredible talent for gymnastics. Taught by his older brothers, Tony became known as one of the best "flippers" of his time. His love for music also developed early in life; he loved to rap and was known to many by his rap name, "Mac T."

Tony was a man who loved being surrounded by his family and friends. He possessed a unique sense of humor, always ready with a quiet joke or completely willing to play the class clown. No matter the situation, he was certain to leave a smile on your face. He made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him, and his warmth, laughter, and spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

Tony was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his brother, Nathaniel Adam Wallace.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Kendrick Wallace of East St. Louis, IL; his daughter, Abigail Wallace (Jaden Wilburn) of Hayti, MO; and his eight cherished grandchildren, Cortez Wallace (13), Kortayvion Wallace (9), Kayson Wallace (8), Rod’Dre McKinney (6), Ra’Miyah McKinney (5), Ry’Leigh Drake (2), and Ja’Kai Wilburn (1), Ja’Lani Wilburn (unborn). He is also survived by his two sisters, Kintennia Wallace of Kennett, MO, and Yolanda Wallace of St. Louis, MO; his two brothers, Larry Donnell Wallace and Quarchan “Shane” Wallace, both of East St. Louis, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service.
