Alan Sheckell, son of Paul Sheckell and Darice Smith Sheckell, was born on Saturday, August 24, 1975, in Hayti and departed this life on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at his residence in Kennett at the age of 47 years, 10 months and 5 days Alan was an employee of Nucor-Yamato Steel Company in Blytheville and a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett. On October 21, 2008, he was united in marriage to Tara Crafton. Survivors include his wife, Tara Crafton Sheckell and their children, Allie, Zane and Brynlee Sheckell, all of the home in Kennett; his parents, Paul & Darice Smith Sheckell of Hayti, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chip & Bernice Smith and Clyde Raymond "Buddy" Sheckell & Mary Lucille Sheckell. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Slicer Street Church of Christ with Mr. Jay Lyles officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
